The next generation of Google reCAPTCHA systems would appear to be imposing the use of Google Play, when no Google service framework or customized ROM equipment was installed and it might not be possible to access the website using the new reCAPTCHA system. ReCAPTCHA is a Google free-of-charge human-calibration system to protect websites from malicious attacks by malicious software, cybercrawling, spam and other automated scripts.

In recent days, attention has been drawn to a post at the Degoogle Forum, the world’s largest “go Google” and digital privacy protection community, which describes the failure removal steps for reCAPTCHA mobile authentication. According to the article, the completion of the validation required compatible mobile devices. For the Andreau equipment, this means that 25.41.30 or more versions of Google Play must be installed.

This change is only part of a larger scale. On 23 April, Google announced the launch of Google Cloud Fraud Defense, which will be the next generation product of its Human Machine Certification System, which is widely used worldwide. The new system introduced an AI-specific validation method. When the system detects suspicious activity, it abandons the original image puzzle-style authentication and instead requires the user to scan the 2-D code. Google’s official blog states that this can verify the real people’s operations, thereby preventing the Al-Ai proxy hit.

According to the technical media PiunikaWeb, Google has deployed the certification system as early as last year. For most Android users, this new two-dimensional authentication system should be able to operate seamlessly. Google stated that its objective was to create a simpler user experience by replacing cumbersome puzzle steps with silent backstage validation. However, for groups more sensitive to privacy protection, the new system appears to be a major problem. Linking web-based validation to proprietary application frameworks means that an Android mobile phone without Google services will not be validated by default. If the new generation of reCAPTCHA systems were widely used, it might not be possible to browse the web without Google Play. Ultimately, however, this depends on the frequency at which the fraud detection system in Google triggers. If the system works as expected, most will never even see a two-dimensional code. But if it misjudges, anyone without Play Services will have problems.
